Over at Sweet Lime and Spiced Tea, we're not adverse to making fools of ourselves in the name of research. However, when a friend suggested we try Pure Bounce, an aerobics class featuring mini trampolines, even we were skeptical.
We packed our stretchy pants and headed off to Pure Health Clubs in the CBD, expecting 80's throwbacks and Olivia Newton John. What we found, however, was that adding a bit of bouncing to the typical aerobics class not only brings out the seven year old kid in us, but that it's actually a whole ton of fun! Set to some upbeat pop, your face will be beet red in no time.
Expect lots of high kicks and a very sore core, as well as a giggle or two while you try not to bounce right in to the spin class next door. And according to the experts, throwing gravity into your workout can stimulate your lymphatic system and boost your immune system, as well as being a lot friendlier on your joints than slogging it out on the treadmill.
Our hot tip? Don't let your pride get in the way - it's fun!
Where: Pure Health Clubs, in the CBD and Coorpooroo.
