Medal Worthy New Season Trends

Whilst The Urban List may not be an office full of the biggest sports enthusiasts, we do find ways to channel our Olympic spirit into more approachable endeavours. Presenting the gold, silver and bronze for new season wardrobe must haves. Here are a few of our favourite northern hemisphere style mavens who were first off the blocks in these medal worthy looks.
Gold goes to... The Paisley Pandemonium
Getting pretty in paisley for the coming season will earn you a gold in our eyes. Easy to wear, low key and bang on trend, it was a favourite on the Spring Summer 2012 runways featuring heavily in Stella McCartney's and Jil Sander's collections. The paisley pandemonium has continued through to the resort collections, with Givenchy turning out some seriously sublime efforts. Do as these ladies have done and keep it dressed down for winning summer style.

Silver goes to... The Super Strapped Heel
This strappy number takes the silver spot on our new season style podium. Not just a piece a to be flung on, you will earn extra style points for getting this laced up number right. Up top should be minimal, and hemlines should be kept modest. Let the shoe do the talking and this new season staple will keep you ahead of the competition.

Bronze goes to... The Post Card Print
Bronze goes to this season’s most approachable look. Add a splash and dash of a post card print for an instant summer style update. Think well executed fabrics full of summer vistas, palm trees and snap shots inspired by where you would rather be. Take a hint from these lovely ladies who add just a splice for a look that is more city than poolside cabana.
