Spring is nearly here and we’ve been on the hunt for the ultimate cocktail to match our mood, as the weather gets warmer. We’re huge fans of all things sour – the freshness about it that you just can’t beat. We recently stumbled upon the Disaronno Sour – the ultimate mixture of flavours. Here are our top six reasons it’s the cocktail you need to try.

It’s Really Easy To DIY

We’re not masters behind the bar, so when we find a truly top-notch cocktail that we can make at home it’s welcomed with open arms. The Disaronno Sour is a perfectly balanced combination of Disaronno, fresh lemon juice and sugar. Shaken with ice, it’s made for spring.

It’s The Ultimate Anytime Cocktail

There aren’t many cocktails that are just right for any time of day. Disaronno Sour hits the spot juuuust about any time. The combination of Amaretto and lemon make for a lip-smackingly good cocktail that’s perfect for a long lunch.

It’s Super Refreshing

Lemon cocktails are hands-down our top pick in the refreshing stakes. There’s something mesmerizing about the lemon-amaretto combination that makes it just what the doctor ordered when you’re in need of a refreshing pick-me-up.

It’s Italian

Disaronno is a top-notch Italian brand, meaning that you can pronounce it with a sexy as hell accent and really impress your bartender. Basically, any excuse to whip out a faux accent.

Because, Amaretto.

Disaronno is an amaretto. Amaretto is an almond liqueur. Almonds are a superfood…. This cocktail is a super food? Right?  Our logic isn’t flawed at all!*

There’s A Stack Of Bars That You Can Find It At

Confession: most of the time we contemplate making our own cocktails for a total of 0.5 seconds, before promptly heading to a bar to enjoy our drinks made by pros.  Luckily, Australia’s top bars are also big fans of Disaronno. We’ve included a sneaky list below of where to grab a Disaronno Sour next time you’re in need of the cocktail of the season.
