Poised as the skincare line to rival heavyweights, The Ordinary, UK-based The Inkey List arrived on the scene in September 2018 with a range of facial serums that promised big without the big expense.

Urban Outfitters Ohii Beauty
Urban Outfitters was just one of the retail giants that launched an in-house beauty range in 2018. Ohii’s succinct range of finishing products are a steal all coming in at under $20 plus they are all cruelty-free and vegan-friendly.

Ouai Fragrance
The long-awaited signature scents from Jen Atkin’s label Ouai dropped earlier this month and sold out almost instantly. Each of the four scents are inspired by the world’s most famous streets such as Rue St Honoré and Melrose Place, so add to cart asap if you want a whiff.

Glossier Lash Slick Mascara
Glossier was on point this year, releasing multiple new products back-to-back. But it’s their first ever mascara that had beauty editors and influencers alike swooning.
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
The cult face mask that does it all, Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask was on everyone’s wish-list; except we couldn’t get our hands on it outside the US. Until now. Mecca announced in December that they have become the exclusive stockist for NZ and Australia, just in time for the holidays.

Covergirl Goes Cruelty-Free
Beauty giant Covergirl announced a game-changing move in 2018, becoming the largest cosmetics company to go completely cruelty-free. They have been bestowed the globally recognised ‘Leaping Bunny Certification’, with parent company Coty looking to expand cruelty-free products across other brands they hold in the new year.

We were devastated when Urban Decay announced that they would be discontinuing their iconic Original Naked Palette earlier this year. To make up for it though, they went and released a brand new one; enter, Cherry.
