Bow Down, Beyoncé Is Dropping A Visual Album On Disney+

Oh, queen Bey, how we have missed you! In news that the world truly needs right now, Beyoncé has announced she’s finally dropping a new visual album next month.
 
Black Is King will premiere on 31 July on Disney+, right on the heels of the one-year anniversary of The Lion King reboot.
 
The album, which is written, directed and executive produced by Beyoncé, will reimagine the lessons of The Lion King for today’s kings and queens in search of their own crowns.
 
A year in the making, Disney+ reveals the album will feature timeless lessons reflected through Black voices of today. In a statement they say, “Black Is King is an affirmation of a grand purpose, with lush visuals that celebrate Black resilience and culture. The film highlights the beauty of tradition and Black excellence.” Yep, it sounds freaking incredible.
 
Even better, According to Variety, Black Is King will feature a seriously stacked line-up of collaborators including Bey’s husband Jay-Z, daughter Blue Ivy Carter, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, and Pharrell.
