Detective Trapp

When LA Times reporter Christopher Goffard released a little-known podcast by the name of Dirty John last year, true crime buffs lost their collective minds. The podcast became a smash hit and spawned a Netflix show of the same name, plus a bunch of international speaking events… because who wouldn’t want to hear the dulcet tones of Goffard in person?

While there’s loads of epic new podcasts dropping right now, you’re going to want to clear your schedule because Goffard is finally gracing us with a new series and it’s an absolute cracker.

Detective Trapp goes like this—when a young woman’s body is found at a trash-sorting plant, investigator Julissa Trapp learns the murder may be linked to the disappearance of three other women around Orange County, California. She embarks on a dark journey that brings her face to face with a man who takes, as Goffard says, ‘a little piece of her soul’.

It sounds deliciously dark to us. You can delve into the chilling mystery here
