No doubt the internet went haywire at the end of last year when it was revealed that Donald Glover and Rihanna would be dropping an actual visual project together in the coming months.
The power duo was seen filming in Havana, Cuba, last year and Glover also released the trailer for the film, Guava Island, at his New Zealand Pharos festival a few weeks later.
Now, Spotify is in on the Guava Island teasers and these take the form of cryptic ads when you log in and start listening to music on the streaming platform. The displays hint that Guava Island will be released April 13 and possibly streamed exclusively at Glover’s Coachella performance on April 12.
Word on the street has also tossed around the idea that this project may actually be a visual album (almost like Beyonce’s 2016 Lemonade concept) as hinted by Christian Sprenger, apparent Director of Photography of the project, on his resume.
And to top it all off, a Guava Island tracklist has also been leaked, check it out below.
