Hans Zimmer, musical genius and composer of almost every epic movie score in existence, will be touring the East Coast of Australia this spring.
Zimmer, who’s won Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy Awards for his innovative, inimitable approach to sound and film scores, has scored more than 120 films. Unfamiliar? He’s the guy that made humanity’s first voyage into a wormhole via Saturn and into the eerie depths of another dimension as magnificent as it was heart-wrenching (see: Interstellar).
He created the nerve-wracking tick-tick in Dunkirk, he charmed the pants off of a generation with The Lion King (and has worked on the upcoming live-action remake) and fashioned the sound for the upside-down dream world of Inception.
In short, his upcoming Australian arena tour "Hans Zimmer Live" will be mind-blowing. He’ll be playing all of his best film scores, joined by a full band, an orchestra and one hell of a light show and visuals to match his moving, earth-shattering tunes.
Set a reminder for Tuesday 18 June, 10am, as tickets are due to drop then. Head here for more info and tickets.
Hans Zimmer Live will hit Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Thursday 3 October, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday O5 October and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Monday 7 October.
