Our neighbour New Zealand is absolutely spoilt for choice when it comes to gram-worthy trips that will make all your mates back home jealous. But we reckon we’ve found one of the most epic getaways yet, and even better—you’ll only need to take a day or two of annual leave to enjoy it.

Because we know 2020 has been the year of cancelled holidays, we've teamed up with the legends at Intrepid Travel to put together a three-day escape to Wanaka where you'll sip a lot of wine, sample a bunch of delicious produce from the region, and take in all the natural beauty that in the past, we might have taken for granted.

This Urban List: Editor's Pick getaway will see you slow down a little to appreciate just how stunning our backyard really is. You’ll be guided by a local host (who has all the insider knowledge), stroll the gorgeous, movie-set like streets of Arrowtown, before heading to a winery and distillery to sample some seriously good tipples and learn all about the craft from the people who do it best.

Being the adventure capital of the world, you’ll have the chance to jump at the original home of the bungy, Kawarau Bridge, or simply make the most of the beautiful surrounds. Also on the itinerary is a walk up Mt Iron, a visit to a secluded Lake Wanaka island, and cycling part of the famous Otago Rail Trail along the Clutha River.

And trust us, you’ll be thankful for all that exercise because you’re going to be smashing a lot of tasty produce from wine and craft beer to seafood and drool-worthy pastries.

a delicious spread of food on a table including a salad and whole lobster.

At the end of each day, you’ll get you unwind and bliss out at an uber-cute Alpine-style lodge—who needs Europe now?

In short, it’s the perfect mix of adventure, exploration and relaxation.

The first tour kicks off on Friday 20 November and will run every month into 2021. So, what are you waiting for? To book, head here
