Japan Is Getting A Hello Kitty Bullet Train

By Mathew Trenear
9th May 2018

One lucky bullet train over in Japan is about to receive one heck of a makeover, turning into the prettiest Hello Kitty inspired form of transport you’ve ever laid your eyes on. The sides of the JR West train’s carriages will feature the iconic pink ribbon and bow that we all love, oh so much.

The word on the street these decorations symbolise the company’s desire to strengthen connections between different regions across Japan. This is probably the cutest way they could have gone about introducing this campaign and we’re loving it, probably a little too much.

The 500 seater train will operate between Osaka and Fukuoka throughout Japan’s summer, so if you happen to be in the area during this time, keep an eye out for the high-speed Hello Kitty on wheels.
