In a fun bit of style news for your week, the champions of childhood creativity at LEGO have buddied up with Levi’s for a fresh new collab that’s all about imagination, play, and—the 2020 fashion mood of the moment—DIY style.
It’s equal parts nostalgic and creative; a totally customisable edit of denim and casual get-up with cute LEGO insignia in the brand's signature pop bright red, yellow, green, blue, white, and black colours. And you can, as you would with your LEGO bricks, make it totally your own.
Each piece in the collection features a LEGO "baseplate"—a pliable silicone panel that you can decorate with special LEGO DOTS. Make a smiley face, trace your initials, it's totally up to you.
In the customisable collection are Levi’s 501 ’93 jeans, a vintage stonewash Levi’s Trucker Jacket, hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts, bags, and other fun accessories like a beanie, a flat brim hat, and a bum bag. Each piece comes with a branded bag of 110 LEGO DOTS to stick on your baseplate, so you can really go wild.
There's also a bunch of graphic tees sans baseplate, for anyone keen to just channel all the nostalgia wound up in this cute collab.
“This is such a fun collaboration celebrating self-expression, creativity, and nostalgia,” said Karyn Hillman, Chief Product Officer for Lev Strauss & Co. “It’s Levi’s® and the LEGO Group coming together to co-create something really special and new, but undeniably familiar."
