Thank you, sweet Netflix gods. We’ve been waiting for this thing since March.
Even though the US received its second dose of The Sinner (AKA the greatest show of 2017) in August, little ol’ Australia and New Zealand will have to wait till 9 November for season 2. But things could be worse. I mean, we're still pretty excited. Especially after watching Netflix’s official trailer. Oh yes, the goosebumps are very real.
Enough small talk. Feast your eyes:
So what do we know so far? Well the synopsis is up on Wiki if you want to spoil everything, but we’re not gonna do that here. What we can tell you is that The Sinner s2 will follow Detective Harry Ambrose (the effortlessly badass Bill Pullman) back to rural New York to solve a new crime: two parents murdered by their 11-year-old son. Again, with no apparent motive. This seems to be Ambrose’s wheelhouse these days.
As usual, the plot unravels and it turns out there’s a lot more to the murder than meets the eye.
Derek Simonds is back overseeing season 2 (with Antonio Campos again handling Director duties), so you can expect more of the tense plot twists and frog-boiling tension we got in the original.
Keep your beady little eye on this page for updates. The Sinner s2 will be dropping in Australia and New Zealand on 9 November 2018.
