Atmos Air Max 2 Light | Urban List

There has been a whisper in the world of fashion that neon is on the way out. Bone colours, beige and muted greys are set to be the next big tones of the moment.

For Japanese sneaker store and regular Nike collaborator atmos, neon needs to live on and if their latest Air Max interpretation is anything to go by, this is definitely a good thing.

Slashed in neon rainbow of hyper bright pinks, greens, blues and yellows, atmos’ new Air Max 2 Light is extreme, to say the least. The design features a patchwork of over 12 vintage prints and iconography, inspired by atmos creative director Hirofumi Kojima’s love of collaging shoots and imagery from magazines.

Dressed in a clear plastic overlay and delivered with interchangeable neon laces, this is a powerful spin on the Air Max that will make your future beige get-up a little brighter for sure.

The atmos’ Air Max 2 Light is a part of a quartet of exclusive and artistic Air Max collabs revealed at the end of March for Air Max Day. In the series of collabs was Heron Preston’s fiery blend of the Air Max 720 and 95 silhouettes, a spin on the Air Max 97 and Haven shapes by Clot and last but not least, an interpretation of the Vapor Max by the elusive Cactus Plant Flea Market that’s a true piece of sneaker art.

You'll be able to cop the atmos Air Max 2 Light exclusively at Supply Store from April 5 in both men's and women's sizing.

The Clot Air Max 97/Haven will be available at Supply Store from May 8. Check Nike for Heron Preston and Cactus Plant Flea Market release dates.

Here are all the other sneakers you need to shop this month.
