Record Store Day 2020 may be postponed until 20 June, but you can fill that void this weekend with The Great Australian Warehouse Sale. The good folk over at AMRA knew we couldn’t wait until June to get our hands on some smashing new records, so they cooked up a way to keep us going until crate-digging is back on the cards.
From Saturday 18 April to Sunday 19 April, record companies like Universal and MGM are emptying their vaults and offering their treasures online through indie record stores. Virtually flick through the vinyl collections from venues around Australia and get them delivered right to your door. You can expect the same hefty discounts on a huge stack of vinyl, CDs, cassettes and turntables as you would at Record Store Day.
You can pre-order now to get ahead of the crowds or head online this weekend to grab some rare finds from your local. For a full list of what’s available and the participating stores, check out The Great Australian Warehouse Sale website.
