We all knew it was coming and now it's official—Splendour In The Grass has been cancelled for 2020.
After originally announcing that the festival would be postponed, and go ahead in October this year with several of its headliners still on the bill, Splendour organisers have now confirmed that they've pulled the plug on the 2020 event, with COVID-19 making music festivals all but impossible right now.
There is some good news though—Splendour in the Grass 2021, as the (new) 20th Anniversary for the fesitval, will apparently feature as many of the original 2020 artists as possilbe. In case you've forgotten, that list included major headliners of Tyler, The Creator, Flume and The Strokes.
All 2020 tickets will be valid for the 2021 edition, so anyone who managed to get their hands on tickets this year will be happy to know they don't have to frantically hit 'buy now' this time round.
If you've got a ticket, you can either hold on to it for the new dates or request a refund if you already know you won't be able to make it. As for those prepping for next year, pre-loved tickets will be going on sale next Monday 15 June from 12pm—so stay glued to the website and have your credit card details ready.
