Considering how much we’ve all embraced body positivity, you wouldn’t think it would be challenging to find a D+ bikini when summer rolls around. But as anyone with a curvy, bodalicious shape would know, shopping for swimwear that supports larger cup sizes while balancing comfort, fit and aesthetics wasn’t easy—at least until The Fold arrived on the scene.

Launched in 2017 by two Melbourne designers and friends, Carly Warson and Stephanie Korn  had enough of not being able to find cute swimwear that supported their E and DD needs, and now The Fold is worn by curvy beach babes everywhere. As well as giving women with larger cup sizes a range of stunning swimwear to hit the waves in, their marketing (and their Instagram feed) celebrates women of all shapes, colours and sizes, showing beauty doesn’t discriminate by bra size.

No matter what your preference for swimsuits, you’ll find a cossie to fit in The Fold’s core range of bikini tops, whether you’re looking for a plunging bodice, a triangle halter top or sculpting balconette-style cups. You can then mix and match the tops with hipster or high waisted bottoms to suit your ideal level of coverage.

Now while the swimwear definitely comes in a sleek, sophisticated black, that’s not the only option. There’s a stack of colours and patterns, whether you want to go bold with a vibrant camo print or really stand out in lime green. You may just have so much trouble deciding you’ll end up with several—lucky summer is looking like it’s going to be a hot one.
