You’ve seen the trend all over the interwebs: unicorn coffee, unicorn hair, unicorn makeup, unicorn desserts—unicorn errthang. And, in probably the most magical news (possibly of all time), Australia is about to get its first ever Unicorn Festival

In what is probably the most Melbourne thing to ever happen (because where else would host a unicorn festival?), the iconic shopping district Melbourne Central will be full of colour for two glorious days this August, and festival-goers will be able to find unicorn inspired makeovers, photobooths and rainbow cupcakes along with plenty more delicious food options.

On the food side of things there will be unicorn-inspired creations from the likes of Bistro Morgan, and Doughboys Donuts who will be serving up limited edition unicorn donuts, St Gerry’s Greek donuts will be served with rainbow sprinkles as well as Persian fairy floss, Only Mine will be creating individual rainbow chocolates, and Vickie Lui will be making unicorn biscuits along with other baked goods on Friday the 4th. You can catch all the action on the Melbourne Central link bridge.

About time you booked that long weekend, then?

The Details

When: Thursday 3 & Friday 4 August, 5pm – 9pm
Where: Melbourne Central, Link Bridge Level 2, La Trobe & Swanston Streets, Melbourne
