Recently our favourite neighbour and holiday getaway, Bali, announced a ban on single-use plastic. Hi-five Indonesia! And now we’ve found one of the coolest ways to help them out in their mission.
Thanks to an initiative lead by Corona, a bunch of pro-surfers and artists have partnered up to create a range of limited-edition reusable bags made from ocean plastics. They’re each made from more than five bottles worth of plastic and when you buy one of these totes, three more are donated to the local Balinese community.
Plus, there’s no wonder they look so darn cool because they’re designed by international surfing legends Stephanie Gilmore, Gabriel Medina and Rosy Hodge along with talented artists Nadia Hernandez, Speto and Gemma O’Brien.
Already 20,000 of these bags have been donated to the Balinese, and they’re aiming to provide one for every Indonesian household. So if you’re constantly looking for ways to help our beautiful earth, reduce your waste, and look cool while doing your grocery shopping click here to buy one for yourself.
