It’s something so many of us have been waiting for and finally, it’s coming to our screens. Netflix has just dropped the official trailer for Australia’s first series on the mega-streaming service called Tidelands.

If you live for supernatural thrillers and you’re a fan of Elsa Pataky (Fast & Furious) and Charlotte Best (Home & Away and Puberty Blues), then you’ll want to buckle up because this one is full of all the mystery.

This Gold-Coast made creeper series is centred around a group known as the Tidelanders, a small fishing community within the fictitious town, Orphelin Bay. The catch is that Tidelanders aren’t what they seem. Turns out, these guys are half-human, half-siren (in Greek mythology, these were creatures that lured sailors and fisherman).

The first season drops on December 14, so it’s safe to say that we’ve got your summer binge sessions sorted this season.

In the meantime, Snapchat just dropped its own line of mini TV shows.
