Trend Alert: The Belt Bag

Belt-Bag

You didn’t ask for it, but here it is. The newest phase in the evolution of the bum bag: the belt bag.

While its origins may be associated with aerobics-doing, tracksuit-wearing, Kath and Kim types and the name ‘fanny pack’, right now the belt bag is much chicer. Usually, it’s a minimal leather number like a flat clutch in it’s own right with a belt backing and doesn’t at all detract from a streamlined, modern outfit.

It may come as a huge surprise that it’s back but when you think about it, it kinda makes sense. Not only are 90s faves all rife for a present day makeover, but such a practical piece is always welcome in our wardrobes.

Out dancing? No need to worry about an annoying clutch or the strap of a cross body bag messing with your moves.

Travelling? You know just where to put your plane ticket and passport.

Exercising? Add it to your activewear, for when a walk turns into a coffee.

So next time you’re experimenting with your look, you can wear your heart on your sleeve and your bag on your belt!
