There are so many reasons why we love summertime: holidays, indulging in far more food and drink than is necessary, catching up with friends, and revelling in glorious balmy weather. There’s nothing better than long, indulgent lunches and a few cold bevvies in the sun, and—drumroll please—we’ve found your new favourite place to do it.
They're the newest summer hotspots courtesy of beer legends Hoegaarden: The ‘Gaardens’ (get it?). They've transformed the already-gorgeous South Bank Beer Garden (overlooking Brisbane’s Streets Beach) and The Island’s luxe deck in the GC into the ultimate beer garden parties, each a lush tropical oasis you’ll never want to leave.
Picture the ultimate summer hangs amidst a vertical green garden (for that perfect Insta backdrop), hanging plants, colourful umbrellas, decadent share plates, and of course the perfect beer (hi, Hoegaarden!), served ice-cold—the way it’s meant to be enjoyed. Along with pumping good vibes courtesy of live DJs, this is one fabulous place for a summer soiree.
As if this couldn’t get any better (spoiler: it does), each Gaarden pop-up will also be hosting two super-cute green thumb-based workshops for some garden goodness of a different kind! With the chance to make an enviable succulent terrarium on February 10 or 11, and a gorgeous succulent kokedama on February 17 or 18, the only head scratcher here is choosing which one to sign up for (or, we mean, why not just do both).
In these fun hour-and-a-half sessions you’ll be guided through the process of making these Insta-worthy mini-wonderlands, plus all the nitty gritty care info to make sure they last and last. So yeah, even serial plant killers are welcome. Everything you could possibly need is provided–and for just 35 dollarydoos? We’ll see you there.
FYI, these workshops are best served with an icy-cold Hoegaarden and delish share platter at The Gaarden. Next friend date? We think so!
