The fact is, we all need a good holiday. One that isn’t just an hours drive away. We want to walk down our favourite aisle, sink into a snug seat, and listen to a safety briefing we know off by heart. That’s right, we want to get on a plane. But with 2020 being such a rollercoaster, many of us aren’t feeling flush with cash.

Which is why we could actually cry tears of joy over the news we’re about to share. Virgin is doing Aussies a serious solid with an epic week-long flight sale, and it’s kicking off right now.

To celebrate their 20th birthday, they’re giving us a gift in the form of slashed fares—we’re talking A-grade bargains people.

For just $69 you can fly from Sydney to the glorious Gold Coast. And that includes 23kg baggage and your seat selection. Other highlights include Sydney to Hobart for $119, and Sydney to Hamilton Island for $145. Honestly, it would be rude not to take one of these trips.

For Brisbanites, among the highlights you can fly to Newcastle from $89, Adelaide from $129, Melbourne (when borders open) from $129 and Darwin from $169. It’s about time you ticked off that NT bucket list trip, right?

Those in Perth can head to Kalgoorlie from $149, to Karratha from $199 and Port Hedland from $199.

Victorians, you’re not excluded either with deals to Launceston from $79, Adelaide from $89 and the Sunshine Coast from $129.

The sale ends at midnight next Tuesday 27 October 2020 and includes fares with generous booking dates into 2021 (between 25 November 2020 and 31 March 2021 to be exact), so you absolutely need to consider a Melbourne sojourn in your future travel plans.

And if you’re worried about border closures, Virgin has updated its flexible booking policy by waiving applicable change fees and providing travellers with unlimited booking changes for reservations with travel between now and 31 January 2021. More information on the airline’s Passenger Promise can be found here.
