Ah February 14 you fickle little beast. That one time of the year when the hopelessly romantic, and sometimes the hopeless, come together to celebrate love. If there’s one thing that can save you from the most painful date night of your life it’s choosing the right venue, and luckily for you guys we have a plan. We’ve come up with the ultimate, guaranteed to work, Valentines (or Galentines) game plan. Interested? Sure you are.
For all of you struck by (or still waiting for) Cupid’s bow, if you want to impress bae, tick something off your foodie bucket list (it’s a yes from us) or just be a damn good human, this one’s for you. The Hunger Project are giving you all the chance to skip the cue for a great cause this Valentine’s Day, with some of Australia’s best restaurants reserving a table just for you. To take part in A Table To End Hunger all you have to do is bid your hard earned coin on a table for two and a bottle of wine—and let’s be honest, can you really put a price on love? Didn’t think so.
We’re talking Momofuku Seiobo, The Apollo, Ester, Bennelong and Quay in Sydney; Il Baccaro, The Point and Toko in Melbourne; Urbane, E'cco bistro and Montrachet in Brisbane and Lalla Rookh in Perth. So whilst you might not have a date (yet) one thing’s for sure, you’re going to end up well fed and watered—and all for a great cause.
Our advice? It’s time to get your competitive on. You want that table and you’re willing to pay whatever (and we mean whatever) it costs to get it.
