Your Five O’clock Woes Sorted

It’s that time of year again—the afternoons are getting warmer and the urge to leave work on time and soak in the rays. But, how about something a little more special? Introducing ‘Thank Krug It’s 5 o’clock’. Yep, that’s the fancy pants champers we’re talking about. Usually only available from the bottle, throughout November and December, you get to drink this treasure by the glass. In Auckland, enjoy a drop at The Grove, Ostro and Seafarers. TUL went along to The Grove earlier this week and you can rest assured that it is mighty fine, with three entrée dishes based around eggs…think caviar and an elaborate dish served in a kina shell. They’re also dishing up last year’s highlight—Krug Fries.

La Cigale Gets A Second Home

We rate La Cigale markets as something everyone in Auckland should have been to at least once. And, so when we heard that it’s opening a second venue we whooped in delight! Yep, that’s right, as of tomorrow it’s getting another home—get the deets here.

Coffee Meets PJ’s

There are few people that don’t covet Peter Alexander’s designs, and now they’re set to make your coffee even more beautiful with a collaboration with Moccona coffee. Using signature bold prints and patterns, there are now four new, limited edition 200g jars. Japan Meets New Zealand

New Zealand is certainly having a crush for all things Japanese at the moment, and the recent release from Steinlager shows that this trend doesn’t seem to be slowing. Pulling together the best of two cultures, their new drop combines New Zealand’s ingredients with Japan’s brewing mastery, creating a clear, crisp and dry taste that you’ll enjoy all summer long.

Fave liqueur Cointreau has branched out this season and created Cointreau Blood Orange. We couldn’t get enough of the new Rocky Road Slice and the Triple Choc Cookie—you can’t stop at one. You’ve been warned.

Fashionable Ice Cream

It seems to be the season of teaming up! Superette has joined forces with Magnum to celebrate the launch of Magnum Doubles. Superette has designed a limited edition range of Boyfriend Pocket Shirts, each links to an animal: tiger, leopard and panther. And, as for the Magnum? Let’s just say that each bite is like an Easter morning celebration, with chocolate for days. Chocoholics, you won’t be disappointed.
