The Federal Street Festival | Federal Street
The Federal Street Festival is back! The party kicks off on Friday night with the tunes of DJ Karn Hall, Cheu Fu and Ladi6. The next day, the family-friendly side of the event starts, with cupcake decorating, face-painting, bubble blowing and balloon animals. Let's not forget what what everyone goes to Federal Street for—the food! Restaurants will be serving up their signature dishes, so expect oysters from Depot, cheesecake from The Fed, duck fat chips from The Grill and a whole host more yummy food from around Federal Street.
Silo Theatre Presents Perplex | Herald Theatre
The perfect way to kick of the silly season, Perplex will have you laughing your way into Christmas. This is a comedy show that will have you confused right from the very beginning—but don’t be put off, that’s the point! Perplex is a completely bonkers show, that is about everything and nothing at the same time.
White Light Falls | The Basement
Head to the Basement for White Light Falls, for a performance of five dancers. A beautiful, soft performance, White Light Falls will be the most enlightening show you see all weekend.
Bombay Sapphire’s Project Botanicals | Galatos Street
After selling out last year, Project Botanicals is back! With cocktails inspired by the bottle of blue, a menu, created by top chef Michael Meredith is made to match—all with the idea of bringing out the exotic botanicals in the gin. This year, the event is held at Eat My Lunch HQ, where you'll be surrounded by lush greenery as you eat at the long, shared tables.

Joe & Caspar ‘Hit the Road USA’ | Aotea Centre
Following sell-out shows last year, YouTube sensations Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee return to New Zealand with their newest film, Hit the Road USA. In this must-see show, the boys talk about their latest adventure, show off exclusive footage as well as behind-the-scenes funny business. Get up close and personal with these two, they’re sure to bring the laughs.
Urban Street Fest | Grafton
Auckland’s favourite street market is heading to Grafton this weekend. Urban Street Fest is bringing all of the food as long as you bring the atmosphere. With all of your faves including Judge Bao, Taco Loco, Guerilla Grill, RAWE Organic Smoothies and Bom Bom Cupcakes, your Thursday night dinner should be sorted.

The Leap - NZ’s Entrepreneurs Festival | Q Theatre
Join Robett Hollis and some of New Zealand’s most successful entrepreneurs at The Leap. There will be networking, panels and talks. With speakers including Alejandro Davila, New Zealand’s 1st VR movie maker, and Hamish Pinkham the founder of Rhythm and Vines, you’ll be sure to come away with inspiration and the desire to succeed.
Urban Legends | Henderson Railway Station
Take a journey through West Auckland like no other this weekend for Urban Legends. Join West Auckland photographer Edith Amituanai, for an art-filled train adventure. Along the way, you’ll encounter pop-up performances, art and music. Then when you reach your destination at Avondale’s All Good Gallery, there will be a free poster exhibition, local music, food and performance pieces. This will be a cultural art show not to be missed.

A christmas extravaganza is coming to Auckland this weekend. The General Collective Market and the Scandinavian Christmas Market are teaming up to bring 250 stalls full of Scandinavian and New Zealand designs. Get on top of your Christmas shopping at this market.
All Whites V New Caledonia | QBE Stadium
Throw your support behind the All Whites as they begin their Road To Russia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. This weekend they play New Caledonia in the first leg of the home and away fixtures of the OFC qualifiers. Head to QBE in Albany and get cheering.

Fairy Clare, the Bubble Man and Mad Hatters Croquet return this year, and are bringing along some friends to help keep the kids entertained, including The Exotic Creatures Pet Party and Puppy Dating. For those who are interested in the roses, the rose pruning exhibits will be for you.

Watties Cans for Good | Primary Schools
Watties and The Salvation Army are teaming up for a new, national can collection and education campaign, and it starts this week. Watties and The Salvation Army are calling for primary schools to register interest here. Then between the 14-18 of November (so next week), the aim is to collect more than 25,00 cans to restock local food banks. The cans collected by schools will be matched by Watties. Get your child’s school involved and get giving.
