There’s nothing like a little deal to make you feel like you’re adulting like a pro. And, what better way to save a penny or two than being selective about where and when you eat out. We’ve already brought you a dinner deal-a-day and although they may not help with those extra winter layers you may have gained, we thought it timely to give you a little update.
And so, plan your week wisely, because you can eat out seven days a week with these dinner deals. You’re welcome.
For a mouth-watering meal and cocktail to pair, you’ll be pleasantly satisfied when visiting Scarlett Slimms & Lucky. This Mount Eden joint offers two-for-one main meals on Mondays. And, while you’re saving on your meal, we figured you could splash out on their infamous ‘cocktails to die for’ (don't miss the Bloody Mary). With a deal like this, there's finally a reason to look forward to the most dreaded day of the week!
Coco’s Cantina is definitely one at the top of our lists for a dinner spot, but it’s not always easy on the bank balance. Understandably, we were super-excited to hear about its happy hour pasta special from 5-6pm. Get your spaghetti on with its Spaghetti Pomodoro dish for only $13!!! They can even serve it as vegan or gluten free if you’ve got food intolerances. This deal is Monday—Friday but we felt like we would be craving some carbs come Tuesday.
Be sure to visit The Good Home in Mount Eden every Wednesday for its hump day special. You can nab yourself a steak and bevvy of your choice for $25.50. If this doesn’t fix your hump day, then we don’t know what will! Even better, every Wednesday night is also quiz night. Put your trivia knowledge to the test while sinking your teeth into a juicy steak. Yum.
Come Thursday we know you’ll be holding out for a slice of pizza and a refreshing beer to satisfy the stomach. Head to TSG between 5-7pm and treat yourself to $10 pizzas, $5 Corona’s or a glass of Sauv and $10 Espresso Martini’s. We can guarantee this will set you up for a good night.
We’re all for letting our hair down on a Friday with a cheap feed and a few brews and Lucky Lucky Dumplings has the perfect deal for after-work treat. Say hello to its Dom & Dumplings deal during happy hour. From 6-7pm you can purchase a bottle of Dom Perignon and eat your heart out on $2 dumplings. And if Dom ain’t your thing then don’t worry, as they also have $5 fill your cup Friday! Go celebrate the end of the working week…
For some of the best burgers in town be sure to check out Big J’s takeaways. Prep yourself for a big night out and indulge in a greasy, filling burger that will ensure you don’t end up comering early from skipping out on dinner. This burger joint is infamous for its ‘burger of the week’, varying in price but mostly sticking around the $15 mark.
Sundays are for roast days. They’re also prone to being hangover days. If you and your flatties are too lazy and too hung over to cook up a family feed, then head to the Belgian Beer Café in Takapuna for its $15 Sunday Roasts—with the purchase of a cold brew of course. Hair of the dog and all that.
