There’s no denying us Aucklanders love our rosé. Whether it’s frozen, blended in a cocktail or just as is, we can’t get enough of the pink delight.
So, when a little birdie told us a super secret rosé was coming to Auckland, we praised the pink drink Gods. We want it and we want it now! And we must confess, we’re terrible at keeping secrets (sorry not sorry). So, listen up as we spill the beans. This is what’s going down.
This rosé is pretty darn exclusive with just 2000 bottles initially available. So, if you happen to nab yourself one, consider yourself lucky (and don’t be surprised when friends try to wrestle it off you).
PR is made from a blend of Grenache and Cinsault grapes. Grown on the French Rivera, the said grapes are exposed to cool Mediterranean breezes before being gently pressed and fermented. The result? A delightfully pale colour and a balanced flavour of berries and bouquets that tastes like liquid summer.
Our advice? Serve chilled and enjoy either as an aperitif or with anything from a seafood platter to Christmas dinner! The wine is extremely versatile and pairs well with lots of different foods. Think a charcuterie platter packed with fromage (that’s cheese to you and I), cured meats, pâtés, olives and grapes—yum!
If you want to get amongst the secret rosé yourself (you do), you can nab a bottle here but be in quick, those bottles are sure to sell out!
Time to stop and smell the rosé, Auckland! This is one secret drink you can’t miss out on.
