Drop everything and head to Waiheke for an out-of-this world sculpture walk kicking off this weekend!

Get outdoors to New Zealand's biggest sculpture event to experience art on a spectacular grand scale. The Sculpture on the Gulf is your chance to walk within some of the most ambitious and striking works from New Zealand’s best artists.

From the 27th of January until the 19th of February, 34 new works will transform the two km trail on the stunning Matiatia headland, inviting visitors on a dramatic art journey. The 2017 line-up includes familiar faces of Phil Price, Virginia King and Gregor Kregar, and artists such as Tiffany Singh, Maureen Lander, and Dane Mitchell making their Sculpture on The Gulf debut. This bi-annual event has been dubbed a "must see" by the New York Times, and more than 55,000 visitors are expected to flock to the island this year.

So mark it on your summer calendar and prepare to be enchanted by contemporary sculpture inspired by the magnificent landscape—it sure is something all Aucklanders can celebrate!
