Break out those sunnies, sandals and summer dresses and make sure you tick off all these markets in February.
Clevedon Village Farmers’ Market
Take a scenic drive out Whitford ways to the little hidden Clevedon Showgrounds where you’ll find the Clevedon Village Farmers' Market. Filled with top quality local produce, it makes the drive worthwhile. Think fresh fruit, veges, meats, fish, cheeses, yoghurts, bread, chutneys and more deliciousness to try while taking in the authentic farm set-up. The market is also animal friendly, with pony rides for younger market-goers. So, grab a coffee and some pastries for brunch and take home some homemade spreads and baked goods for later.

Matakana Farmers’ Market
Why not make a day out of your market trip and hit up the Matakana Farmers' Market? With a place to sit by the river, take in the peaceful surroundings, and enjoy the sun, the Matakana Markets are a firm favourite. The stalls feature Italian-style sausages, locally-brewed beer, fine wines, and organic chocolate, as well as live music and fresh ground coffee to really kick-start your weekend. Don’t forget to take a wander around the town centre and see everything artisan Matakana has to offer.

The Factory Market
The self-described “funkiest boutique market in the world” is back for another instalment of The Factory Market. With all things vintage, delish, arts, crafts, and otherwise ~funky~, this is one market you will not want to miss! The February edition has a focus on clothes plus a major line up of more than 40 deliciously good food trucks! The Factory Markets are only on a few times a year, so support local businesses and head on down to Albany to get amongst the funk.

La Cigale French Markets
Have we really compiled the best Auckland Markets for you to visit if we haven’t included La Cigale? No, of course not. Remaining one of our absolute top picks, La Cigale in Britomart and Parnell transports you to France—minus the expensive plane ticket! Think buttery croissants, melting pan au chocolat, aged cheeses, fresh seafood paella, smoked salmon, cream eclairs—the list goes on but we’re sure you’re already drooling. If you haven’t already visited these legendary markets, make sure you head down to La Cigale in Britomart and Parnell on Saturday mornings for all these French delicacies (and lucky for us, Parnell is open on Sundays too, in case you’re needing a double hit!)

For a real sense of community, head on down to the Grey Lynn Farmers Market and take in all the local produce that is so loved by the people of Grey Lynn. Priding themselves on being green, the zero waste market regularly offers gardening and preserving workshops to build up an appetite for all the mouth-watering pastry, coffee and fresh fruit stalls. Yum! This one is the perfect market for a quiet breakfast to start your Sunday.

Urban Street Fest
Gourmet street food and live music is the definition of Urban Street Fest. The line-up of stalls has sky rocketed this event to the top of the Auckland market scene, just wait for it. There's Double Dutch Fries, RAWE Organic Smoothies, Judge Bao, Wise Boys Burgers and so many more epic stalls! The February addition sees live music from the wonderful Lee Gray, making the perfect backdrop for devouring your weight in food.

Devonport Craft & Fine Food Market
Devonport’s once-a-month market offers the highest quality food and crafts with a short walk to a waterfront view of the city. Pick up some ultra special gifts from the craft stores and then treat yourself at the food stalls with some baked goods, locally grown macadamia nuts, pressed olive oil, jams and pickles. This is the perfect brunch spot to hit up on a Sunday. After filling your bellies with pastries and coffee, take a leisurely stroll along the beach, or even up Mount Victoria if you’re feeling brave.
