As if Auckland’s best beaches and a fabulous foodie scene weren’t enough, the Shore is set to get even cooler next year with the urban festival of all urban festivals!
That’s right next February, the Shore will be the place to be thanks to the inaugural Takapuna Food, Wine and Music Festival. Held at Smales Farm, this one day R20 event will showcase the best of the best.
Brought to you Highlife Entertainment, you know it’s going to be good.
“This festival is totally unique to New Zealand,” says festival director Adam Bennett. “We’ve taken inspiration from offshore festivals to create an unforgettable day out for Aucklanders.”
The music line up includes Sneaky Sound System, Sola Rosa, Nathan Hines and DJ Karn Hall. While enjoying the tunes, you can sip on vino from the likes of SOHO, NZ Rose, Villa Maria, Cloudy Bay, Man O War and Wither Hills. Cheers to that!
If you prefer your drink bubbly, then up the ante with Champagne from Veuve Clicquot or Moet & Chandon. Or, if beersies are more your thing, you’ll be in heaven with craft beer from Hallertau, Epic and Sawmill, among others.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a great day without epic eats. And, the Takapuna Food, Wine and Music Festival doesn’t disappoint! Faves Miss Moonshine, Double Dutch Fries, Wise Boy Burgers and Judge Bao are amongst those providing food for the day.
