Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But why keep it to just breakfast on a plate? Here at The Urban List we like to go the extra mile. Get all your breakfast goodness, on a BOARD! (it’s even healthier—according to us anyways).

Hello Friends + Allies

Epsom

Wake up at Hello Friends + Allies. With a breakfast board featuring flaxen, serrano ham, avo salsa, montego potato cake, blue bircher and an egg taco, it’s pretty much everything you didn’t know you wanted. The staff are friendly and provide super service but be warned: once you’ve been, you’ll want to return again and again.

The Corner Kitchen And Bar

Clevedon

If you’re out south, don’t worry because we haven’t forgotten about you. Take a trip around the corner to The Corner Kitchen and Bar. Order their breakfast board consisting of marvellous Manuka smoked salmon, toasted rye, soft cheese, poached egg, wild herb pesto with a honey, date, nut and seed bar. Wow, we’re feeling hungry just about it…You know you’ll be set for the day.

The Garden Shed

Mt Eden

Take a trip to the friendly Mt Eden village and find a seat at The Garden Shed. Their breakfast board is made up of sizzling streaky bacon, spicy chorizo, poached eggs, potato rosti, roasted vine tomatoes, Portobello mushroom and toasted rye sourdough. The coffee is also served with organic milk, and soda is straight from the tap! Who was the genius behind this? We need you in our life.

Gather Wholefoods

Silverdale

Grab the squad and head to Gather Wholefoods—they offer a generous breakfast platter. It consists of eggs, kumara hash, wilted spinach, slow marinated mushrooms, free farmed crispy bacon, free farmed pork and fennel sausages, and maple roasted vine tomatoes. Wow! Not only does that sound fancy but it’s all healthy as well! How about that for a great start to the day?!

Bread & Butter

Milford & Grey Lynn

You won't want to miss a chance to breakfast at Bread & Butter, there's guy know how to put on an epic spread! There’s little to be left desired with the famers' board. Packed with all the brekky essentials such as prosucuitto, swiss cheese, avocado, tomato, and a boiled egg served with toasted organic bread, you won’t be disappointed.

Deco Eatery

Titirangi

All aboard! Take a first class flight to Turkey at Deco Eatery. The menu is inspired from Turkish heritage, giving you a well-deserved holiday. You can start your morning with Breakfast in Turkey featuring scrambled eggs, feta, Manuka honey, tomato, cucumber, Kalamata olives, fig jam and Turkish pide. You can then head to work telling all your friends how you just transported to Turkey and came back all in the same morning!

The Shelf

CBD

Make room! The Shelf’s Belgian waffles are here to steal your heart and satisfy all your cravings. Served with maple syrup, berry compote and whipped , you can even add bacon, vanilla ice cream or seasonal fruit (PLUS, IF YOU’RE LUCKY, YOU COULD EVEN GET THE WAFFLES IN HEART SHAPES). This will have your friends doing a photoshoot for the ‘Gram and the Snap, because it’s definitely worth 1000 Insta likes.

The Governor

Herne Bay

Hit up The Governor to try the Breakfast Plate (it offers the same pleasure even though it’s not on an actual board). It includes chia cup with raspberry and rhubarb compote, poached egg, smashed avo. They use fresh, organic, locally sourced produce. At times when the office just gets too boring, change it up by taking out the crew to The Governor and booking a conference room. The minimalist style will leave you feeling mesmerised.
