While we know it’s not very enticing to get out of your oh-so-cosy bed in these sub-zero temps, the idea of heading to a hot yoga studio to warm those chilly bones might just convince you. Hot yoga, which can often be confused with Bikram (40-degree temp), is a warm temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. It’s just enough to get your sweat on, but you won’t have to worry about struggling to breathe. We think it’s a great compromise. And so, if you’re keen to hop on the yoga bandwagon, but want yours with a little warmth, then check out our list of where to find Auckland best hot yoga spots below.

Studio Red

Auckland City

Located in the heart of the city at within City Works Depot, Studio Red offers a delux studio for worker bees. The studio oozes elegance, from the luxurious couches inviting you to hang out, through to the marble and gold materials in the bathroom. This inner city, architecturally-designed sanctuary has a purpose-built studio that feels like you’re giving your body a treat. Suitable for everyone from absolute beginners, through to very experienced, there’s Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga as well as Vinyasa flow to music available.

Hot Yoga Auckland

Newmarket
Hot Yoga Auckland’s name says it all, simplicity. If you’re looking for a place to get your quick fix then Hot Yoga is the place for you. Pro tip: get there early to secure your place as the studio fills up fast and becomes very crowded. There’s Power Vinyasa, Hot Hatha, Yin Yang and Yin Yoga classes available, so there’s something for everyone.

Abundance

Auckland City

If you’re a city slicker, look no further than Abundance, located in the heart of Auckland City. Offering yoga, Pilates and Barre, this beautiful venue offers a retreat from an otherwise busy life. At their foundation is Hot Power Yoga—a challenging vinyasa-style class. Bring a sweat towel as you’re guaranteed to be dripping by the end of this class. They also have other yoga offerings, too.

Om Yoga

Stonefields

If you’re a beginner to hot yoga, or any yoga, for that matter, then Om Yoga is the studio for you. Om Yoga’s purpose is to make yoga accessible for everyone, where everyone can take some time out of the rat race of life for a little self care and space. It has heated and room temperature classes, with Hot Hatha classes focusing on alignment or a hot flow class. Pick your poison.

Hot Yoga Asylimb

Pukekohe

For those of you on the outskirts of Auckland, Hot Yoga Asylimb will be your new go-to. 95% of its students have never practised yoga before, so there’s no need to be shy if you’re a newbie. Best of all, they teach five diverse styles of yoga, including Mukti, Yin, Flow, Knothot and Yoga Nidra.
