It’s that time of the year again folks! American Express Restaurant Month is here with an overwhelming array of events and we just don’t know where to begin. At The Urban List, we’re all about the wining and dining lifestyle but it’s a bonus when the fun factor is added in. This is why Dinner By Bike hosted by Bike Auckland grabbed our attention.
Wheel your way through the streets of Auckland and make a stop for each course for the tastiest dining experience. The eight km round-trip bicycle tour of the city not only includes an entrée, main and dessert but it’s all for a good cause. It’s a fundraising event for the non-profit organisation Bike Auckland who are working towards making our city more bike friendly. You’re basically feasting for a better environment!
The tour will kick off at Big Street Bikers Rechargery in the Viaduct and you’ll get your entrée from the masters of Southern delicacies Miss Clawdy. Then you’ll head on over to 1947 Eatery where your standards for weekly curry night at the flat will reach all new heights. Next on the agenda is a wee journey through the iconic cycleways and hidden lanes around Auckland, where you get to have dessert at Madriz in Snickel Lane. To wrap up the night, chill out at the rooftop of Parasol & Swing at the Viaduct with a post-dinner/workout drink while overlooking the beautiful harbour.
