It’s time to grab your robe, your owl and your wand and head to Wellington because the capital is set to get a Wizarding Academy Express this July.
Literally held on a steam train, the Wizarding Academy Express will depart from Wellington train station, with each carriage a ‘house’ that has both a captain and professor on board. During the one to one-and-a-half hour train trip, you’ll be taken through a variety of magical lessons including spell casting and potion classes. There are six different carriages, each with their own unique personality after which it was named: think Gwazidor who is energetic and firey or Longmagriff who is whimsical and creative.
Held on Saturday, 13 July, there are four different sessions: 9:25am, 11:15am, 1:10pm and 3:10pm. There are three levels of tickets available. The general allows for the immersive experience as well as a souvenir, the premium also includes a Saremcroft Wand and the VIW carriage also includes Saremcroft butter ale and is a smaller carriage so you’ll get more attention.
Catering for ages 5 to 305 If you don’t have your own wand or robe, you can purchase one when you buy a ticket.
Speaking of tickets, they are on sale now, so we suggest snapping one up asap because they’re sure to be snapped up faster than a discount sale at Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes.
