Beer lovers rejoice! If you're a craft beer enthusiast, then you'll be stoked to hear that the über cool, Wellington-based craft beer aficionados, Garage Project is opening a cellar door in Auckland. And, in case you haven't heard of them before, here's the D Low...Garage Project are an experimental, Wellington-based brewery owned by Jos Ruffell and brothers Pete and Ian Gillespie. They've done pretty well for themselves, taking out the title of Champion Brewery at the 2017 Brewers Guild Awards, which is kind of like the Grammys, but for beer! Their trendy Aro Valley-based brewery and taproom smashed out 60 different brews last year and they opened up a second site for their wild fermented, experimental brews and natural wines, called the "Wild Workshop."
Their new digs in Kingsland is something to get excited about. Here you will be able to taste all of the goodness Garage Project has to offer with a line-up of 12 ever-changing beers on tap, which will also be available by the flagon and for take away. And if you're not sure what you're after, they've got 70ml tasting flights to wrap your taste buds around and their finger food menu will feature options such as cheeses, pickles and cured meat—to perfectly accompany your brew.
Although the exact Kingsland location is still under wraps, the grand opening will be happening in March with an epic opening weekend party happening to introduce all of the Garage Project goodness they have to offer. We don't know about you guys but this news has us all hot and flustered…we may just need a beer.
