Aucklanders…it’s time to unleash your inner wine-o because The Waiheke Wine and Food Festival is back! This is your end of summer island escape where you get to taste some of Waiheke’s award-winning wines and consume copious amounts of artisan foods—because who doesn’t love a boutique cheese board? #morebrieplease
Kicking off with a live soundtrack of musicians, including internationally renowned Nathan Haines band, Waiheke’s award-winning vineyards will be serving up their hand-crafted wines. Including Awaroa, Batch, Cable Bay, Goldie Wines, Man O War, Miro, Mudbrick, Obsidian, Passage Rock, Peacock Sky, Poderi Crisci, Stonyridge, Te Motu, Wild on Waiheke and Woodside Hill, there will be a vino for you, whatever your preference
Tempting and tasty, the line-up of artisan food vendors includes Te Motu, Poderi Crisci, Casita Miro, Kapiti cheese, Huntley & Palmers flatbread, Dragon Fired pizza, Urban Escargot, South American Oven, Shima Sushi and many more. You can also taste some of Waiheke’s award-winning olive oil at stands for Rangihoua Estate, Matiatia Grove and Azzuro Grove
Buses will run from both ferries to take you straight to the festival site at Te Motu and they’ll take you back again, so all you need to worry about is which wine to sample first.
