Foodies rejoice, Auckland’s North Shore is opening a new hospitality precinct, Goodside, a curated selection of eateries situated in an event hub.

Another stellar addition to Smales Farm, the stunning leafy venue will house of some of Auckland’s much-loved eateries, as well as some epic new openings.

“We’re excited to have brought on board some of the best boutique hospitality operators in Auckland, with many of them coming north of the bridge for the first time,” says Smales Farm chief executive Paul Gunn. “I have no doubt they’ll make Goodside one of the best hospitality destinations in Auckland.”

And we predict he's absolutely right. With a line-up that caters to every craving, Goodside opens on December 1 and here's what to expect:

Fantail & Turtle

If you're after craft beer, cider and kombucha flowing from 30 taps, look no further than Fantail & Turtle. With a focus on community, they'll also have 50 wines from various regions and countries and an extensive gin selection. Their menu is all about sharing, with twists on the classics that showcase local producers as well as artisan pizzas.

Ripe Deli

They've been spoiling Auckland foodies with their innovative salads and high quality produce for the last 15 years and now Ripe Deli is set to open at Goodside. If you're on the go, then head to Ripe Deli, who offer a fabulous takeout menu as well as ready-to-eat hot meals—perfect if you want an easy dinner.

&Sushi

Colourful, fresh and inventive, you can't go wrong with &Sushi. Found at Newmarket and City Works Depot, Shore dwellers can be thankful they longer need to cross the bridge to get their sushi fix. Here, you can build your own plate, or choose from one of their many rice, udon or salad bowls. Or, sink your teeth into crispy chicken, cured salmon or sashimi.

Goodness Gracious

With a focus of getting one thing right, Goodness Gracious' bagel creations are what dreams are made of. Perfectly doughy with a satisfying crunch, these New York-style bagels are a must.

Soho

Bringing traditional Thai cooking with a modern twist, Soho is another new opening at Goodside. Creating dishes full of flavour and freshness, they say that centre stage is their rotisserie, roasting the finest local chicken, duck, wagyu beef and kurobuta pork.

The Grange

If king prawns with herb butter and 12-hour roasted lamb shoulder has you drooling already, then put newcomer The Grange on your foodie hit list. This European restaurant and bar will be open every day from 7am until late, in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Monthly Pop-Up

Goodside will also host a revolving, exciting new food offering in their pop-up space. At this stage the first is unconfirmed, but watch this space.

Goodside, you're set to be a Shore thing.
