Located just 20 minutes north of Quebec City's centre, the Hotel de Glace is one of the latest reasons why you need to visit Canada.
Since opening in 2001, the impressive hotel has attracted over one million visitors and has had plenty of excellent reviews. Each year the hotel takes on a new theme, intricately carving and creating different sculptures for each room.
The rooms sit at a cool three to five degrees and all include ultra-comfy thermal insulated mattresses, winter sleeping bags, insulated bed sheets and pillows. If you’re wondering how anyone can possibly sleep in these freezing conditions, fear not—the dedicated staff are always there to make sure you have the most comfortable stay. Check out the ice hotel's guide to preparing for your stay.
All rooms come with a yummy cocktail (served in an ice glass, of course), full access to the hotel's relaxation area, including the outdoor spas and sauna, access to the ice-skating path, plus tonnes of discounts on nearby activities.
A basic room is just short of $500, so time to start saving—this isn’t an experience you want to miss.
