Kingsland has become quite the hip ‘burb lately and now, you’ve got another delicious reason to pay a visit to its streets. And, happily, it’s got everything to do with our favourite thing—food.
Launching on the 1st of September, Urban Street Fest promises a night full of good nosh and awesome entertainment. From 5-9pm, the crème de la crème of Auckland’s street food clan will gather in Kingsland to dish out your favourite street eats, from heavily loaded fries to steamy pork baos.
And, even though the days are warming up, we all know that the weather round these parts can be a tad temperamental. So, with this in mind, organisers have chosen an indoor venue (how kind) to protect everyone from the elements—hurrah! No eating in the rain for us.
Vendors that have been named so far include Judge Bao, Coreano, Got Pasta, RAWE, Double Dutch Fries and Temaki Truck NZ, as well as many more of our beloved stalls from around the city.
Providing the entertainment throughout the evening will be Lee Gray Music, who is set to belt out a number of tracks as you wander around trying to decide your cheap eat (or eats) of the night.
The age-old street food dilemma of trying to eat while standing is solved, too! There will be plenty of seating provided so you can park up, tuck in and savour every bite.
For a family-friendly night with the best picks of Auckland’s street food right at your fingertips, head along to this market that has it all covered (literally). We can’t think of a better way to kick off the season of new beginnings.
