It’s finally here, team! The Laneway Festival 2017 line-up for Auckland dropped and as expected, it is nothing short of EPIC. Held on Auckland Anniversary Day (Monday 30th January), and making a shift to Albert Park precinct from Silo Park, the boutique festy is set to be a magical day of beats, eats and sunshine.
From electronica to get you grooving and boundary-pushing hip-hop to catchy pop and punk, there will be something to suit all types of musos at next year’s festival. We’re talking Cut Off Your Hands, Glass Animals, Fazerdaze, The Chills, Tourist, The Veils and possibly the most anticipated act of them all—Chet Faker. Yep, this is a music-fuelled day that you won’t want to miss.
Other acts include one of our favourite Aussie bands Tame Impala, Norwegian babe AURORA, ambient genius Tycho and indie rock band Car Seat Headrest. Bob Moses, Clams Casino, DMA’S, Flight Facilities, Floating Points, Fortunes, Julia Jacklin, k2k, Mick Jenkins, Mr. Carmack, Nao, Nikolai, Purple Pilgrims, Refused, The Julie Run, White Lung, Whitney and Yukon Era. It’s basically a glorious mash-up of international and local talent and we couldn’t be more excited.
Tickets are on sale from 9am on September 21st (next week!) and you’ll want to snap yours up as soon as poss—it’s going to be one heck of a gig.
