The CBD just got a whole lot more mad! Say hello to The Mad Samurai, a rad central hub of deliciousness set to take the town by storm.

Found in the brand spanking new and totally on-the-scene Snickel Lane, The Mad Samurai is brought to us by dream team Andrew Niven, Andy Ellies, Arato Tsujno and Makihisa Shimzu. Featuring a slick modern fit-out not to mention a welcoming team, this inner-city gem is not one you want to miss.

Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert, it seems like there’s nothing they can’t do! And with a quick glance at the menu, you’ll be salivating for a bite.

Designed to kick start your day right, the breakfast menu offers a selection of a craze currently taking over Japan. With each jam-packed with rice, miso soup, fresh fruits, early risers will have the choice between steamed pork, chicken, salmon, vegetarian gyoza. But wait there’s more! All day long diners will be treated to the bottomless elixir of life a.k.a green tea.

When lunch and dinner (finally) roll around, there’s no doubt The Mad Samurai will be your new go-to. If you’re after the sushi roll to end all rolls, look no further than the Mad Samurai. A jumbo serving featuring wagyu beef topped with barbecue and mayonnaise, this bad boy is definitely one for the 'gram. With all the wagyu beef farmed locally and from their very own wagyu farm down in Christchurch you can count on getting authentic flavour with every bite.

Feeling down in the dumps? The wicked pork gyoza dumplings will only put a smile on your dial. Or, if you’re feeling particularly ballin’ opt for the crowd-pleasing wagyu meatballs in teriyaki sauce. Sweet-sour and totally binge-worthy, one taste will have you quickly planning round two.

Because fried chicken is life, you can bet we tried the karage chicken. Just think, juicy golden and tender pieces of crunchy chicken in an epic wasabi aioli sauce.. YUM

You didn’t think we forgot about dessert, did you? Just when we thought things couldn’t get any better, we tried the house-made green tea cheesecake. Smooth, sweet and indulgent, you won’t be able to stop at just one bite. Served alongside ice cream and cream this masterpiece is definitely one for the foodie bucket list.

Featuring a whirlwind of flavours, superb steaks and sweet treats to rave about, be sure to pay a visit to The Mad Samurai, and experience the wonder for yourself!
