What went down:
Instead of the ol’ runway show, twenty-seven names stuck true to its roots and presented its guests with an exhibition. We love how fashion is becoming more prevalent as an art form, because it is. Designers are artists, they’re creatives, and they bring art to life through clothes.
The exhibition was held at Allpress Studio, with portraits of the designer duo’s modern day muses, their friends, sisters, mothers and team. We also saw beautiful landscape shots by James K Lowe at Te Henga on the West Coast, with the team wearing the same outfits. The idea behind it was to show the natural beauty within everyone, instead of hating your flaws, learning to love them. Aha—mum taught us something after all!
What we wore:
Matching two piece from RUBY, coat from Topshop, Deadly Ponies handbag, Chuck Taylors.
Ugh it’s raining, I hope the weather improves. Finally somewhere off-site, this is exciting! Love a different venue. No models this time? Ok, it’s an art gallery, I need to pretend I know what I’m looking at. Everyone has their art review face on. Wow, New Zealand really is beautiful. Oh look, there’s the designers standing next to their portraits! Lol! Those bagels really do look good…I don’t know why fashion people don’t eat, but I’m definitely eating!
