Under 30 and think you’re a bit of a whizz in the kitchen? Then get your signature dish ready because S.Pellegrino has announced that it is once again on the hunt for the best Young Chef of The World.
Ok, so maybe you’ll need a little more talent than the ability to chop veges faster than a ninja—you’ll need to have at least one year in a restaurant as a chef, sous chef or chef de partie.
The world will be divided into 20 areas and involve 100 top chefs as judge and jurors…from there there will be 20 chef finalists and 20 chef mentors. Worried NZ won’t cut it? Last year we had three Kiwis featured in the Pacific Top 10. We’re great at punching above our weight.
It’s all about the five Golden Rules: ingredients, skills, genius, beauty and message. You can do that, right?
Applications don’t open until January so get cooking, tell your mate who’s a rising chef to get cooking and lead our NZ chefs onto the world stage!
