If you needed an extra reason to visit Queenstown this winter, we’ve found it. A poppin’ Champagne party is heading to the slopes of the Cardrona this month… and you’ll
want need to be there.
Champagne Mumm is the mastermind behind Club de Neige—that’s French for ‘snow club’. Aligning with the Audi quattro Winter Games, the hub will be a place for athletes and fans to kick back after a snow-filled day—Champagne in hand, of course.
The mountain pop-up takes inspo from Europe’s much-loved après ski (translation: ‘after-ski’) social activities. At the Cardrona pop-up you’ll find the likes of Champagne cocktails, cosy fire pits and live music from DJ duo Sweet Mix Kids. A pretty dreamy combo, right?
However, the event we’re most amped for has got to be skibrage. The snow-esque version of sabrage will see the talented team popping open bottles of Champagne with a ski (yes, an actual ski). Yeow—get your flutes at the ready!
The highly anticipated Winter Games will also be action-packed with events. Showcasing the Winter Olympic, Paralympic and X Games, you can witness everything from freestyle skiing and snowboarding to ice hockey and curling. The best part? All the events are free to watch.
Club de Neige—aka THE snow party of the year—will be in action on the major finals events. Check out the dates below and book those flights asap. Queenstown, we’re coming for ya!
