Ain’t nothing better than street food. Noodles, skewers and dumplings—we want it and we want it all! And just when you thought street food couldn’t get any better, Tiger is taking things to a whooole new level.
Allow us to introduce you to Tiger STREATS aka the coolest thing to hit Auckland. The concept? Two chefs who live worlds apart—but both share culinary fame—join forces to create a unique collab dish. And, we can confirm, the dish is incred!
That’s right, Auckland’s very own Nick Honeyman (the mastermind behind Paris Butter) has teamed up with Hawker Chan. Hawker Chan is at the helm of Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle—better known as the street food stall with a Michelin star. Say whaaat?
Hawker Chan’s popular stall literally attracts hundreds upon hundreds of punters every single day. Foodies line up for hours on end at the Singaporean food court just to experience his chicken rice for themselves—it’s that damn good!
And now you have the chance to try the delish Tiger STREATS dish, a variation on the collaboration riz au lait (translation: rice pudding). It features mandarin puree and a black sesame crumb—yum!
If you want to experience it for yourself (trust us, you do), then you’ll need to get your booty down to the Tiger STREATS stall at the Auckland Night Noodle Markets.
Like all good street food, the dish is best washed down with a refreshing bevvy in the form of an ice-cold Tiger beer.
The market will be going down at Victoria Park until Sunday. It runs from 4pm to 10pm on weeknights and from 1pm to 10pm over the weekend.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to try street food at its finest. Get amongst!
