Praise Be, The Handmaid’s Tale Is Getting A Sequel

By Natasha Gamra - 29 Nov 2018

If you’re a fan of the dystopian tale known as The Handmaid’s Tale, you’re going to want to listen up here. Author Margaret Atwood is bringing us back to that era – scratch that – fifteen years later, with her new novel The Testaments ie. the glorious sequel to the world of Gilead we already know.

We’re definitely ready to see how much more the world is screwed up over a decade later especially because Atwood has hinted it’s inspired by today’s events. And even MORE so because Atwood wrote The Handmaid’s Tale in 1985, and it’s a scarily accurate depiction of how the future would unfold for society.

The iconic author has also teased this novel will be narrated by three characters (no one confirmed as yet) but we’re musing over Offred, Serena and… possibly Holly (Offred’s second biological daughter she has in season two).

You’ll want to watch this space for updates on this one but the book is set to drop September 2019, for now, we’ll just patiently wait for season three of the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning TV adaptation.

Here's every documentary you should have watched by now.
