If there’s one thing we just love here at The Urban List, it’s a glass of champers—the only drink you can justifiably enjoy at breakfast, lunch or dinner…and anytime in between. Mix it with our favourite town for a winter escape and we’ve pretty much reached peak happiness.
Yep, that luxury four-day champagne event, Clicquot in the Snow is back for 2016 and, as expected, the programme is better than ever.
Returning for its sixth year, locals and visitors alike will be able to raise their glasses and toast to the spectacular winter Queenstown offers and indulge in some apres ski fun from the 4th—7th of August.
“We are excited to bring the 2016 programme to Queenstown, including a mix of bespoke experiences and larger events for fans of Veuve Clicquot to take part in,” explains Ali Campbell, Veuve Cliquot Senior Brand Manager. “The event is known for its audacious style and this year, guests are in store for a series of fantastic surprises and delight moments that you won’t want to miss.’
Highlights include the long degustation-style lunch by none other than Josh Emett (the guy behind Madam Woo). The delicious food will be matched with champers from the Veuve Clicquot range and, this year, it will be held at Rata.
There will also be a Laneway Party, with DJ Vincent Hanna kicking off the festivities in the open street party, before a surprise act takes the stage…hmmm…who could it be?
Shoe designer Kathryn Wilson will launch her next collection while cruising Lake Wakatipu on the iconic Earnslaw on Friday the 5th, followed by the Clicquot Official After Party at The Bunker.
Other not-to-be-missed moments include the Après Bar at Coronet Peak, a breakfast at the Hilton, champagne brunches at Pier 19, skiing at night, the Cliquot cabin, flute and fries and a high tea.
It’s a weekend of champers, snow and luxury, darling. Be there.
