Things To Do In Auckland This Week

Another week has rolled around, and Auckland has lined up some amazing ways for us to make it a good one. As much as we truly appreciate the awesomeness that is Netflix and chill, this week we say forget sloth mode and opt for something more fun.

Our fine city is providing us with many delightful things to do. From Cadbury Crème shakes to an outdoor movie screening, we have lots of reasons to be excited. Here are five things to do in Auckland this week.

Monday 26

Kick off your week the right way, and head to the Auckland Seafood School this Monday! Head chef at Baduzzi Restaurant, Glen File, is making a guest appearance and hosting the class (ah awesome?!). Glen describes his meals as classic comfort food with a modern twist. So, get amongst all the awesomeness that is this once in a lifetime cooking class and show off your newfound cooking skills to your fam.

Tuesday 27

If there’s one thing we love, it’s a perfectly made (and perfectly presented) cocktail. The New York inspired bar, Caretaker, serves creative and ever so desirable drinks, making your night out one to remember. And what’s better? This Tuesday, the bar will be taken over by live Jazz. We say one big yes to this event.

Wednesday 28

DROP EVERYTHING YOU HAVE PLANNED. This Wednesday, Orleans is celebrating Easter by offering fried chicken waffles AND a Cadbury Crème Egg milkshake… for just $12! Guys… the shake is filled with custard, ice cream and topped with cream, chocolate and a Cadbury Crème Egg. The excitement is so real, and indulgence has never tasted better. The offer is running between 12pm and 3pm, so get your butt there and don’t miss out!

Thursday 29

New Zealand’s longest standing event is back! Kicking off this Thursday, the 2018 Royal Easter Show will celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Auckland Agricultural & Pastoral Association. The family-friendly event includes the likes of a circus, heaps of epic rides, live entertainment and of course, some delish carnival eats. Making it even better, EAT MY LUNCH, is partnering with the event this year! They will be selling delicious lunches with an aim to use the profits to give 1,000 lunches to Kiwi kids in need. The Royal Easter Show is totally free entry, so be sure to check it out.

This Thursday, Movies In Parks is showing the 2017 Beauty and the Beast, and we could not be more excited. With food trucks on site, and a blanket packed, there is no faulting this event. So round up the gang or grab your SO, and bring them along. Starting your weekend early has never looked better.
