Green does not mean boring, folks. And, proving they know what’s what when it comes to all things good, The EcoWest Festival is returning to West Auckland this Saturday for a month-long party of all things seriously eco! From Avondale to the Waitakeres, there’s a line-up of more than 100 events that show all the love for the environment.
Kicking things off is the Down and Dirty Rooftop Party on March 11, where you can pop some bubbly, grab a bite and get your dancing shoes on. But this ain’t no ordinary ticketed event, no no! You can earn yourself free entry by getting your dig on and helping out the EcoMatters working bees in the garden. Because where else but in Auckland's epic West can you get to party on a rooftop just for doing good? Or, save your fresh mani and pay $20 for entry with all proceeds supporting EcoMatters environmental projects.
On March 30, have a laugh while watching some of New Zealand's top comedians, including Te Radar and Pax Assadi, solve the world’s dilemmas with hilarious solutions, all while raising funds for EcoMatters.
And, throughout the month, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to improve your life skills, learning how to make everything from mosaic masterpieces, candles, seamstress tips and tricks and a secret kimchi recipe at the daily workshops. Also, check out the free park yoga to truly become one with nature.
Ending the festival with a bang is EcoDay, where Olympic Park will be pumping with live music, great food and a bunch eco-activities to enjoy all day long. You’ll be left green with envy if you miss out on this totally awesome festival that only does good!
