As much as we love a YouTube cat video, there’s something better out there: doggo movies. Specifically, a film festival dedicated to the humble hound.
The Top Dog Film Festival is an independent flick fest for all the dog lovers out there (that includes everyone, because dogs are simply the best). Over two hours, the festival will screen a combo of short indie films that explore the bonds between puppers and people. Basically, it’s our dream.
There’s an entertaining (and heart-warming) line-up: Well Groomed explores the world of competitive dog grooming; while Adoption Pending follows a staffy-cross-husky surrendered to an adoption home, and must pass a series of training behavioural tests to be successfully re-adopted. UK short For The Love Of Dogs wins the award for best trailer quote: The worst thing she ever did was to eat my gay friend’s Viagra tablets.
